Screaming at Inanimate Objects
Dana writes a lot of lyrics when the moment strikes.
Some songs are a fully realized piece as soon as they're written down
Some are written upside down!
Some start as poetry.
When the band is jamming, sometimes words flow and the jam becomes a song.
Often, a band member will present a piece of music that needs lyrics.
The writing process is collaborative, every member shapes the song and arrangement.
Production is not the same as engineering. It's taking a song and turning it into a cohesive unit.
Going over arrangements and instrumentation
picking apart vocal parts, repetition!
Thinking about the mastering- flow and overall sound of the album
